Our goal is to go above and beyond to give our customers the best possible gear available. Many of our customers take our gear with them on what may be an adventure of a lifetime and we strive to help make those adventures amazing. We only make gear that we would use ourselves. All of our gear is built in the United States right here in our workshop by our skilled seamsters and seamstresses.

All Waymark Gear is handmade here in the United States in Salt Lake City, UT. We are a small cottage company outfitting Thru Hikers, Section Hikers, Weekend adventurers and World travelers. We don’t currently outsource any of our labor, so everything is meticulously made one by one with attention to quality and detail. Can you buy a similar pack with a frame for the same price or less at one of the big brand outfitters? Yes, but it was made overseas for pennies on the dollar in mass production. At that same big brand outfitter, can you pick and choose colors, add pockets and custom options to your specifications? No.

We started United By Blue in 2010 out of a desire to preserve the place where we play. Instead of writing checks or accepting donations, we wanted to make a real, tangible impact on our oceans — and there are few things more tangible than hauling tires out of riverbeds or picking up plastic bottles along the shoreline. So we pledged to remove a pound of trash from the earth’s oceans and waterways for every product we sell through company-organized cleanups. We hosted our first cleanup the same week we sold our first T-shirt. We’ve since expanded from a handful of organic cotton tees to a full line of responsible, durable goods — apparel, bags, and accessories for people who care about the outdoors. We thoughtfully make all of our products with sustainable materials (organic cotton, recycled polyester, and bison fiber are some of our favorite things to work with). United By Blue products can be found in more than 400 outlets nationally and in our stores in Philadelphia, Asbury Park, and NYC.

For us, Tsuga is more than a brand, it’s what we believe. The Tsuga philosophy was born out of solution oriented thinking which is evident in everything we design. At Tsuga we take fulfilling our customers expectations to heart.

It was never about bags. What began as a commitment to craft and local manufacturing in 1989 became a revolution in business practices. Since then, we’ve been making bags built to last a lifetime.

Making your time outdoors more enjoyable. In 1971, a fortuitous mix of unemployed engineers, a leaky foam gardening pad, and the dream of a better way to sleep under the stars came together to change how we experience the outdoors forever. As climbers, Jim Lea, Neil Anderson and John Burroughs knew firsthand that long days in the hills were only made longer by a horrible night’s rest, and a better sleeping pad was key to changing that equation. This blend of science and a desire to make the most of every day outdoors created the world’s first self-inflating air mattress, and it continues to be the fuel that drives us today. Today, Therm-a-Rest [a brand of Cascade Designs] remains at the forefront of comfort innovation and quality, with a commitment to building what we make, with our own hands, whenever possible. Between our company-owned manufacturing facilities in Seattle, USA and Cork, Ireland, the vast majority of our sales world-wide come from products that have been built by Therm-a-Rest employees. Another one of our pillars is to use the best materials we can make or source for our finished products. Sometimes this means U.S.A., but we face major challenges since the broader market has driven entire industries from the U.S. This often leaves us without options that meet our quality standards, supply demands, or simply no domestic choices at all. The solution to maintaining our quality then can be a reliance on global sourcing for things we build in Seattle. That’s while you’ll often see “Made in the U.S.A. of U.S. and Imported Materials” on our U.S.-manufactured products, providing you transparency into the manufacturing and sourcing of our products in all situations.

TATO Gear is a small family owned manufacturer of ultra-light outdoor equipment. All TATO Gear products are manufactured 100% in the USA by us in our manufacturing facility based in South Carolina. This allows us to meet our high quality standards we set and control all aspects of the process so we can bring our customers the highest quality gear for the most affordable cost. Our number one goal is customer satisfaction. Our products are made with the highest of standards to meet your quality expectations. Tato Products include stoves, hammock stands, and unique hardware.

Started as Laser Products, the leading manufacturer of rugged, powerful and compact illumination tools for tactical applications – from weapon-mounted lights and laser sights, shield lights and baton lights to hand-held lights powerful and bright enough to qualify as “force-option” tools that could temporarily blind, unbalance, and disorient a threat, eventually the SureFire name became so synonymous with excellence in hand-held illumination tools that the company name, Laser Products, was changed to SureFire LLC.

To meet him was to never forget him. George “Stormy” Kromer was genuine, and that spirit reached every corner of a company he never planned to start in the first place. He simply wanted a piece of headgear that worked as hard as he did. One cap led to a thousand and then many millions, but a century later we’re still making products as authentically as the first one—from materials to methods. You can’t pretend to be a legend. It’s something you earn from your customers, your commitments, and always carrying through.

Since its founding in 1976 by Sal and Gail Glesser, Spyderco has steadily grown to become one of the leaders in the cutlery industry. In addition to a worldwide distribution network and manufacturing resources in the U.S., Japan, Taiwan, Italy, and China, our innovation has also earned us an impressive portfolio of patents, trademarks, and industry awards. The seamstresses who sew our products work from home in the northern part of the state, a region with a rich history in garment manufacturing. We are a US based company with a global mission. At Sawyer, we use the best technology to make simple products that keep you going regardless of your journey — whether camping or ultralight backpacking, keeping your kids safe and hydrated, or bringing clean water to developing countries. Sawyer units are made in Safety Harbor, Florida.

All journeys begin with a first step. For Red Oxx this step was taken by CEO Jim Markel’s veteran father, Jim Senior. Also a retired military Captain, his skills as a Rigger came in handy when creating lifting straps and weight belts. Crafting fitness products one at a time in his home’s basement, Jim Senior set in motion the vehicle that would one day grow into the Red Oxx the world recognizes today. Today the Red Oxx story continues with the world’s finest luggage and sporting gear, all meticulously made by hand by dedicated craftsmen and women right here in America. Building a culture of true quality and highly valuing customers to the point of not allowing any middle-man to come between them has led to our credo “Not sold at a store near you.”

Pika Products started when we saw a problem with the way we pack for camping and backpacking trips. The contents of our top loading backpacks inevitably shifted and tangled throughout the trip, causing disorganization, unnecessary bulk, and frustration. Clean things got dirty, dry things got wet. We wanted to change the way we packed to make our outdoor adventures more streamlined and successful. Pika’s packing cubes are durable (made with outdoor-specific technical fabric), compressible to save valuable space, and can easily be converted into a day-pack for the adventures you embark on after setting up camp. They keep you organized to make your camping experience better.

Lawson Equipment is a family owned manufacturing company. The business was founded as Mountainfitter with the goal of making custom tents, backpacks, and sleeping bags. As demand for my cordage and metal products grew, we got away from sewing and changed the business name to Lawson Equipment. And as time has gone on, we have added more and more braiding machines and metal working equipment. Now our company’s focus is manufacturing high quality braided rope, cordage and metal hardgear using the best materials and craftsmanship available. All of our products are proudly made by us, right here in the USA using the best materials on earth. If we make it, its the best there is.
